2-26-2017 - RETRO ALBUM OF THE MONTH: CAGE - "SCIENCE OF ANNIHILATION"

When I think of Cage I think of the awesomeness of Sean Peck's vocals and the fact he is a fellow Charger fan. This album brings back a lot of memories. When this came out I had Sean on my show for the first time. It was an epic interview and as people we hit it off well. <<read more>>

1-26-2017 - ALBUM OF THE MONTH: FIREWIND - "IMMORTALS"

I have been a longtime fan of Firewind. I remember when "Burning Earth" came out and I was totally hooked onto their music and Gus G's guitar playing. We haven't heard from Firewind much and in fact 2012 was the last album. <<click here>>

1-31-2015 - ALBUM OF THE MONTH: SERIOUS BLACK- "AS DAYLIGHT BREAKS"

It's been very difficult to come up with a first album of the month because there just isn't much out yet. However the last couple of weeks I have had some amazing releases come my way! So after listening to many of them I decided to name the debut album by Serious Black as the Album of The Month! <<click here>>

1-31-2015 - RETRO ALBUM OF THE MONTH: SCANNER - "HYPERTRACE"

So I was thinking of what the first retro album of the year would be. Then I was reading online a little known German metal band called Scanner was putting out another new studio album. For a long time I had completely forgot about these guys. When I first started this show back in 1998 this was a band that I had just started listening to. In fact I liked all 4 of their albums at the time Hypertrace being my favorite because of the concept behind the album. <<click here>>

7-25-2014 - RETRO ALBUM OF THE MONTH: CAGE - "DARKER THAN BLACK"

There is something to be said about bands who never get as much recogition as they should. In reality I can think of quite a few all around the world especially here in the states. Well one such band is Cage. Now this album is definitely NOT my favorite album by them but it was the first album I ever bought by Cage and it's the record that really got me into them. <<read more>>

Most of you have known me for a long time, and for those of you who have, you know OverKill has been one of my favorite bands for a very long time. I used to call them the "modern day Motorhead". 7-25-2014 - RETRO ALBUM OF THE MONTH: JUDAS PRIEST - "SCREAMING FOR VENGEANCE"

With Judas Priest releasing a new album this year I did something I always do when a legendary band goes and puts out a new album. I listen to their entire back catalog that way when the new album comes out i have a fresh perspective and i have something to compare it to. So when listening to all of their past albums in chronological order I sort of stopped at this one for an entire week. Something about this record really struck me again. <<read more>>

6-22-2014 - ALBUM OF THE MONTH: ANUBIS GATE- "HORIZONS "

6-22-2014 - RETRO ALBUM OF THE MONTH: HELLOWEEN - "THE TIME OF THE OATH"

So when thinking of the "Retro album of the Month" I was torn as to which album to pick for the month of June. It's always difficult. While each month a new release is a bit easier to pick because there are only so many albums, the retro album of the month is hard because it's basically every album that has come out before the current release year. With that said I always think of an album that holds a lot of great memories for me. This month it's Helloween's "Time of the Oath" <<read more>>

5-28-2014 - ALBUM OF THE MONTH: HATRIOT - "DAWN OF THE NEW CENTURIAN "

Now I am no thrash metal vocalist per say, my singing style is a lot different as I am more of a prog metal singer but I will still put Zetro as one of my biggest vocal influences iof all time. <<read more>>
